The American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP), a nonprofit membership association, builds and supports an international community of grant professionals committed to serving the greater public good by practicing the highest ethical and professional standards.

The Arizona Founding Chapter strives to implement these ideals throughout Arizona while providing opportunities for mentoring, professional development and networking.

AAGP is a professional association. As such, a fundamental role is to establish, maintain and advocate for professional standards within its industry. Many professional organizations develop credentialing standards for their members. In 2000, AAGP voted to form a professional certification, thus Grant Professional Certification Institute was born. The Arizona Chapter alone, has nine members who are certified under this accredidation. The Arizona Chapter would like to host a GPCI exam during the Annual Event in September 2010 in Arizona. In order to host a test, the chapter needs to have 20 or more potential participants. If you are interested in testing for your certification, please contact Janeen Gaskins at jgaskins@avondale.org or (623) 333-1025. If you reply by June 1, you will be entered into a raffle for a scholarship that will cover the full cost of the exam.
